Job Designation : Software Engineer Internship

Job Description : 

• In this role, you'll help with the development of Red Hat's software defined storage technology projects through bug fixes, writing unit tests, applying and testing patches, programming automated test cases, and writing and verifying product documentation. 
• You will work with GlusterFS, an open source, distributed file system based on a stackable userspace design that handles diverse workloads. 
• This position is a 6 month contract internship, and candidates must work from the local office. Students who can commit to the work hours or fresh graduates who meet the criteria are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities :

• Identify and file bug reports
• Help develop software defined storage projects
• Work with GlusterFS
• Write unit tests
• Apply and test patches
• Program automated test cases

Required Skills :

• Interest in open source software and development
• Experience in systems software or algorithms
• Extensive programming experience in one or more of the following: C, C++, Python
• Background in distributed computing and storage is a plus
• Experience with version control systems is a plus
• Good communication and organizational skills
